The Ministry of Defence follows the Federal Government’s recruitment policy to ensure equal representation from all parts of Pakistan. Seats are distributed as follows:
Open Merit: 7.5% (Available for candidates from all over Pakistan).
Punjab (Including Islamabad): 50%
Sindh (Urban): 7.6% (Karachi, Hyderabad, and Sukkur).
Sindh (Rural): 11.4% (Rest of Sindh).
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK): 11.5%
Balochistan: 6%
Ex-FATA (Merged Districts): 3%
Gilgit-Baltistan (GB): 1%

Special Category Quotas
In addition to the regional distribution, the following special quotas are strictly observed according to government policy:
